Where the story began

“Hi, I’m Sophie. I’ve always been deeply passionate about skin care & I had a strong desire and conviction to uplift the hand sanitizing world. In 2016, I decided to turn my passion into a business: DOU My Hands was founded.

My journey with DOU started with a simple goal: creating hand sanitizers that were both effective and a pleasure to use. While pharmaceutical companies failed to innovate, I invested in product development & reliable lab testing.

Knowing I could do better, I spent three years researching & experimenting with different ingredients, trying to find the perfect blend that would kill germs without leaving a sticky residue. I discovered a unique combination of Pharma Grade ingredients & moisturizers that was effective and left the skin feeling soft & smooth.

Pretty soon, I realized I wanted to do more. I had the aspiration to develop skin-loving products delivering real results, without sacrificing on quality and sustainability.

That’s when I partnered with dermatologists to create multitasking formulas, full of high-quality botanical actives.
We’ve formulated light-textured and effective skin care liquids that are truly a joy to use.

And of course, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to design products and processes that minimize our environmental footprint.

For me, DOU is more than just a brand – it’s a way of life.
